Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about setting up and using the secure Cloud Trader Pro terminal.

Architecture & Security

What is Cloud Trader Pro?

Cloud Trader Pro is a secure, decoupled algo trading platform and options scalping tool built for Flattrade, Upstox, and Shoonya. Designed for active retail traders in India, it connects broker APIs directly to your private cloud VPS or local machine. You manage it through a lightweight, responsive Web Dashboard that can be opened on any desktop or mobile browser.

Is my broker credential data safe?

Yes, 100%. Security is our primary design principle. Because Cloud Trader Pro is hosted on your own private cloud VPS or local computer, all API keys, client credentials, and access tokens are stored locally on your own machine. We have no access to your credentials, no centralized databases, and never see your trades.

How does it simplify SEBI IP compliance?

Since the server runs directly on your own dedicated local machine or private VPS, all order requests originate from your own unique IP address. This completely avoids the compliance complications of multi-client shared hosting and ensures your setup complies with broker API IP guidelines.

Deployment & Setup

Where can I host the Cloud Trader Pro server?

You can deploy the platform to AWS, or any cloud VPS with a dedicated fixed IP. You can also host the application on a local Windows/macOS/Linux machine; however, if you choose to run the server on a local PC, you must have your own static IP from your ISP or a dedicated IP from a cloud provider to ensure stable and compliant broker API routing.

Which brokers are supported?

Cloud Trader Pro natively integrates with the official APIs of Flattrade, Upstox, and Shoonya.

Do I need to generate access tokens every day?

Yes. Broker security guidelines require API access tokens to be regenerated once daily. The dashboard features quick token activation buttons to authenticate your session every morning in seconds.

Trading & Execution

What indices are supported?

The platform supports real-time options data, calculations, and execution templates for NIFTY, BANKNIFTY, FINNIFTY, and SENSEX.

How does the Scalp Terminal's Market Protection prevent slippage?

Exchanges block raw market orders for index options due to low liquidity. To ensure your order fills instantly without slippage, the Scalp Terminal automatically converts 'Market' orders into buffered limit orders (e.g. +5% above LTP for BUY, -5% below LTP for SELL, capped at 20 points). This secures your fills while shielding you from erratic price spikes.

What is the Options Strategy Builder?

The Strategy Builder lets you construct custom multi-leg options strategies (like spreads or iron condors) directly from the live option chain. It calculates margin requirements, shows live Greeks (Delta, Theta, Gamma, Vega), and lets you execute all legs simultaneously as a single basket.

Strategy Templates

Are the VWAP and Straddle systems ready-to-use trading strategies?

No. The VWAP and Straddle engines are provided strictly as customizable technical templates. We do not provide trading tips, signals, or pre-set fixed strategies. You must backtest your parameters, set your own risk thresholds, and configure your own rules before running live.

Can I test my settings before going live?

Yes. The Backtest Lab allows you to run simulations against historical options data. This lets you evaluate how your custom rules, target payouts, and stop-loss configurations would perform before deploying them in the live market.

Support & Maintenance

How are Cloud Trader Pro platform updates and bugs handled?

We regularly release platform updates and bug fixes. The app features a one-click auto-update mechanism, and you will receive a notification as soon as we release a new update. If you encounter any bugs, you can report them directly using the built-in option in the app.

What is the support policy for custom strategy development?

For custom services (strategy builds), once we hand over the custom strategy to you, any bugs or operational issues found in the agreed features are fixed completely free of cost. If you want to add new features later, they will require a new agreement and pricing.

How do I update my self-hosted Docker container?

You can update the platform with a single terminal command or enable Watchtower. Watchtower automatically monitors our secure image repository and pulls/restarts your container with the latest version with zero configuration.
