The Genesis: Shoonya Trader
I am a trader first, and a developer second. To solve the clutter and execution lags of traditional broker interfaces, I first built Shoonya Trader. It was designed as a high-speed personal execution deck to bring trailing stop losses, bracket orders, and automated straddle/strangle controls to option sellers.
The Catalyst: SEBI IP Whitelist Rules
The landscape shifted when mandatory SEBI IP whitelisting regulations came into effect. These rules required trading algorithms to operate from whitelisted, traceable static IPs. Traditional cloud-centralized platforms struggled with these requirements, leaving traders facing complex gateway compliance.
The Breakthrough: Cloud Trader Pro
To overcome this hurdle, I began building Cloud Trader Pro as a decoupled cloud application. By deploying the execution engine locally or on your private cloud VPS, you can easily whitelist your own static IP directly with broker gateways (like Flattrade, Upstox, & Shoonya), keeping your credentials secure and execution speeds high.
